Position: Human Resources Officer

JOB SUMMARY:

HR Officer who will be responsible for providing support in the various human resources and functions, which include recruitment and onboarding new employees, training, and development, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

TYPICAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources or any other person designated by the management, the Human Resources Officer role will perform a wide range of duties and responsibilities. These may include, but are not limited to:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation monthly, ensuring integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format.
  • Staff onboarding: Preparing contract of employment and Induction.
  • Preparing job descriptions, advertising vacant positions, and managing the employment process.
  • Leave management. -to ensure that all records are up to date.
  • Recruitment – communicating, Scheduling, and coordinating appointments with candidates and interviewers.
  • Ensuring that confidentiality is maintained at the HR level.
  • Prepare monthly payroll changes and update.
  • To maintain business professional relationships with Employees.
  • Assisting the Assistant HR Manager in planning and executing of special events during the year
  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance management programs.
  • Liaising with HRDC and ensuring that G1 and G3 forms are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring proper communication from the HR department to the staff via written and verbal communiqués.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • To provide general administrative support to the team.
  • Any other cognate duties that might be assigned to you in your course of employment.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in human resources.
  • Good understanding of labor laws
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Excellent communication, team spirit and interpersonal skills
  • Good attitude
  • Strong ethical standard
