On September 2022, Jubilee Insurance Mauritius Ltd became Jubilee Allianz General Insurance Mauritius Ltd. On 29th September 2022, the Registrar of Companies issued a new certificate of Incorporation to give effect to the above change in name.
On 11 November 2022, FSC issued a new licence to the Company under the name Jubilee Allianz General Insurance (Mauritius) Limited bearing the same license number IS10000008.
Allianz has become the majority shareholder in Jubilee Insurance Mauritius Limited after acquiring a 66% stakes from Jubilee Holdings Limited (JHL), East Africa’s largest insurance group. The balance 34% will continue to be held by Jubilee Holdings Limited and some minority shareholders.
Since 21 September 2022, the Company is part of the Allianz Group, a global financial services provider with services predominantly in the insurance and asset management business, headquartered in Munich, Germany, first established more than 130 years ago.
