Leadership Team

Dr. Johannes joined the board of management of Allianz Africa as Regional Chief Financial Officer on April 1, 2021, and recently joined the board of Jubilee Allianz General Insurance (K) Limited in June 2022. Before joining Allianz Africa, he worked for Allianz Partners where he held key positions for more than 8 years as Head of Strategy and Portfolio Management then as Regional Finance Director. 

In this last role, he was responsible first for the APAC region and Line of business Assistance and then later on in addition for the Western Europe, Latin America, Middle East, Africa. 

During that time, Johannes shaped the merger of Allianz Global Assistance, Allianz Worldwide Care and Allianz Global Automotive. 

As Finance Director, he was instrumental in the roll-out of Finance Transformation in the APAC region as well as implementing a more sophisticated planning and controlling approach. He prepared this approach for a global roll-out leveraging one planning tool for Allianz Partners. 

His key achievements include professionalizing the relationship between Finance and Underwriting and delivering a comprehensive and holistic input for pricing.

Claudio Braidotti is an Italian national who is currently the CFO of Allianz Morocco and Board of Director of Jubilee Allianz Kenya. He has worked in Germany previously, as well as his home country of Italy.

Prior to joining Allianz in 2013, Claudio spent 13 years in McKinsey & Co, working on business development and change management in insurance and banking sectors. His work included strategy development, marketing and sales, risk management and operational excellence.

His experience has contributed to his design and implementation of a strategic growth program for Allianz Africa.

Claudio holds an MBA in Finance from UCLA, after having studied Electrical Engineering in Rome, Italy. 

Demba Sy is the Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Senegal and Board of Director of Jubilee Allianz Kenya, prior to which he was the CEO of Allianz Kenya since 2015. He was was also the Chief Operating Officer of AllSecur (Allianz Direct) France from 2007. 

Demba has spent 20 years with Allianz and brings over 27 years of experience in Banking, Telecommunication and Insurance. He studied Engineering at ENSIMAG (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Informatique et de Mathématiques Appliquées de Grenoble), and holds an MBA from HEC Paris.

Linus Gitahi is the Board member of Jubilee Allianz Kenya. He is the current Chairman of Board of of Tropikal Brands (Afrika) Limited, of Diamond Trust Bank Limited, of Oxygene Marketing Communications Limited, and of Zenufa Pharmaceuticals in TANZANIA. He also is board member of Simba Corp and of Kenya Association of Manufactures.

Linus has occupied various managerial position in several countries including CEO of Nation Media Group and, at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), CEO of GSK Nigeria, and Commercial Director for Near East Region (based in Cyprius), General Manager for East Africa and Indian Ocean (based in Nairobi), Marketing Director for Africa (based in London).

Linus is also Fellow of the Kenya Institute of Management (KIMO), and a holder of the Moran of the Burning Spear (MBS) from the Government of Kenya.

Jean is the Executive advisor for IN Group France for Kenya and Honorary president of the French foreign trade advisors for East Africa and board of director of Jubilee Allianz Kenya. Jean is also an elected board member at the French Chamber of commerce in Nairobi.

Jean has more than 37 years of professional life in Kenya working as Country Director for Thales East Africa as well as various other managerial positions in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt in Nigeria, and finally in East Africa. This long experience in the region has enabled him to create a strong network within the private and Government sectors in different countries across East Africa.

Jean is a holder of the French Order of Merit award from the President of France.
